The last week has brought the catwalk to London as models and designers congregate at this year’s London Fashion Week.
After getting a variety of emails each with their own fashion edit I decided to gather together the top trends of Autumn/Winter.
2. Metallic Shoes
Metallics have been in and out of fashion and this season they are back and better. In fact, metallics are also back in beauty and I have had the pleasure of trying the LOC One & Done Shadow Stick.
In some way metallic shoes and lipstick is hard to wear but when combined with jeans and some en pointe makeup it can transform your outfit.
3. Linen and Cotton
Get ready for the summer with breathable raw material. Go for natural linen and raw cotton.
4. Ruffles and Frills
Hems, collars, seams and even bags and shoes had ruffles and frills. Fashion designers who took this trend to a new level include: Roksanda, Peter Pilotto, Preen and Simone Rocha.
This for me was surprising, but I have to say I really love the cape designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen
It combines the glamour of a black and white movie star. I’m thinking Grace Kelly here.
6. Dressing for a night out
Ra-ra skirts and one shoulder tops, slinky body-hugging velvet dresses, and pleated tennis dresses. All perfect for dress up or dress down. I can definitely see all of these things making their way into high-street shops.
7. Sequins and velvet
As mentioned above velvet is perfect for figure-hugging dress and this year you can combine the 2016s trend of the ‘Little Green Dress’ with velvet. Sequins had an extra sparkle to dresses, and tops.
These are my top 7 styles from London Fashion Week, let me know what you think
Have a wonderful week,
